Terms of Use

Conditions of Service

This page outlines the rules that govern your use of the La Conciergerie de Julie platform, the responsibilities of each party, and the limits of our liability when you engage our concierge services.

1. Subject of the Service

La Conciergerie de Julie provides a curated lifestyle management service. We coordinate household maintenance, service provider bookings, private chef arrangements, event planning, personal shopping, and related assistance for busy professionals and families in South Africa. Our role is to connect you with vetted specialists and to manage the logistics of those engagements on your behalf.

2. Your Responsibilities

You agree to provide accurate and complete information when requesting services. This includes clear instructions about your property, access arrangements, and any specific requirements for the task at hand. You are responsible for ensuring that your home is reasonably accessible to our service providers at the agreed time and that any pets or children are accounted for during a visit.

3. Our Responsibilities

We commit to introducing you to service providers who have passed our screening process, which includes background checks and reference verification. We manage the scheduling, confirmations, and follow-up on your behalf. We act as an intermediary and do not directly employ the specialists who perform the work at your property unless explicitly stated in a separate agreement.

4. Limitation of Liability

While we take care in selecting and monitoring our network of specialists, we do not assume liability for the direct actions of third-party service providers once they are on site. Any disputes regarding the quality of workmanship, damage to property, or incomplete tasks should be reported to us within 48 hours so we can mediate and arrange a resolution. Our total liability for any claim arising from a single engagement is limited to the fee paid for that specific booking.

5. Termination of Use

You may stop using our services at any time by contacting us in writing. We reserve the right to decline or terminate a service engagement if a client behaves in a manner that is unsafe, abusive, or inconsistent with these terms. Upon termination, any outstanding obligations for services already rendered remain payable.

6. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms periodically to reflect changes in our operations or legal requirements. The most current version will always be available on this page, and the date of the last revision will be noted at the top. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

Legal Contact
